The Jaycee group decided to head to their next destination - Water Taxi Beach, but Philip and I decided to stay at the beer garden and were going to head home soon. But on our way out the door...we ran into Nebraska friends Kiersten, Amy and Melissa! We couldn't believe it. Of all millions of people and the thousands of bars/restaurants/clubs in New York...we all ended up at the same place and it wasn't even in Manhattan, it was in Queens! It truly is such a small world out here. Philip and I ended up staying out much longer on Friday night, but it was so great to hang out with our friends. Crazy!
Saturday was a busy day for Philip and I as we headed to all the home furnishing stores near us looking for night & tv stands, and some other things for our place. It ended up being Philip's Day as he got some new clothes, shoes and a laptop! But that's okay...because I don't have a job and can't afford to buy all of that stuff right now. :) After installing all of our new items we took a break and went to see the movie Dark Knight. It was really good and very intense - I definitely recommend it!
This morning Philip and I woke up early and ran along the east river. Philip hasn't ran in awhile and isn't training for a marathon like me, so we only ran 4 miles together. Then I took off and finished 11 more through Central Park. It was great. When I got home we decided to go to brunch (which I guess is the thing to do in NY on the weekends) at this cute place called Baker Street. Brunch was $11.95 and included two drinks. Not bad. The rest of the day we shopped for more things for our place and organized all day. We want to be ready for our busy week ahead...I'm actually working this week M-W as a receptionist at a Bra Company and then we have guests coming on Thursday night. Hopefully I'll hear something from the company I interviewed with soon too! I'll keep you updated. :)

Great blog! You computer geek you, I told you it was easy.
Site looks great. Too funny that you ran into Nebraska people, but of course when you know EVERYONE, I guess that will happen. Sure am going to miss you at volleyball, but I am glad you are doing well.
I hope to have the Cox Classic pictures posted this week, will try to let you know.
