The reason Dickie and Kara came into town was to see the inaugural
All Points West Music and Arts Festival in Jersey City. On Saturday Philip and I decided to go with them and see if we could scalp some tickets since they were sold out. We navigated the PATH Train and Jersey Light Rail and luckily found some tix on the way. We could not have asked for a more beautiful day at
Liberty State Park in Jersey City where i

t overlooks the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty. Very cool. There were 3 different outdoor stages and throughout the day we saw bands Metric and Sia

and the night ended with
Kings of Leon and
Radio Head, which are both Philip and Dickie's favorite bands. It was pretty awesome seeing the thousands of fans with the skyline and Statue of Liberty behind us. It was our first Festival and I could see us going to more. We had a great time.
And like most Festivals there is always some excellent people watching with of course the people dressed in balloon caterpillar outfits! :)
